Analyse the possible reasons that made it necessary for nomadic people to move from one area to another.

Climate of an area plays the major role for their movement. For example, if the climate of an area is suitable for nomads and their cattle, they remain on that place and when it becomes unfavourable, it pushes them to move to the other place. Such as the Gaddi Shepherds of Himachal Pradesh. In summers they move to higher hilly meadows and in winters they return to low hills of Siwalik range.

Another reason is the availability of fresh grass in new grazing grounds. Seasonal movement also helps the herders to grow seasonal crops like the Dhangars of Maharashtra grow bajra inspite of low rainfall and poor soil.
