(a) The first Indian community to play cricket was the Parsis. The Parsis were close to Britishers due to their interest in trade and it was the first community who became Westernise. So, the Parsis founded the first Indian cricket club and started playing cricket.
(b) The five teams that participated in the Pentangular tournament were-the Europeans, the Parsis, the Hindus, the Muslims and the Rest. The Rest comprised all the communities left over, such as the Indian Christians.
