(b) Fate of Zygote after implantation: The zygote or futile egg gets implanted into uterine wall. It begins to divide. The uterine prepares itself for process of pregnancy to receive and nurse growing embryo. The lining of uterus becomes thickened and is richly supplied with blood for nourishment of growing embryo. Embryo gets nutrition from mother blood by help of placenta-a special tissue. It is a disc embedded in uterine wall containing villi on embryo side of tissue.
