Why are the tumour cells dangerous?

Cancerous cells continue to divide, giving rise to masses of cells called tumours. It is of two types:Benign and malignant tumours.
These cells grow very rapidly, invading and damaging the surrounding normal cells by competing for vital nutrients.Cells sloughed from such tumor reach distant sites through blood, get lodged in the body and they start a new tumour there. This cancer is very dangerous. Many indians suffer from cancer, and a large number of them die from it annually.
