Animal cells have an interior membrane that delimits a cell nucleus thus, they are eukaryotic cells. In these cells, the genetic material is located within the nucleus whereas, the bacterial cells do not have an organised cellular nuclei so, are called prokaryotic cells. Their genetic material is found freely dispersed in the cytosol of the cell.
