It is easy to catch a table tennis ball, then a cricket ball, even when both are moving with the same velocity. Why?

Table tennis ball is of very light mass so momentum of table tennis ball is very less as compared to that of a cricket ball. Clearly less force is required to stop the tennis ball by bringing its momentum to zero.
