In a town, 25% of the persons earned more than Rs 45,000 whereas 75% earned more than Rs 18,000. Calculate the absolute and relative values of dispersion.

(i) Absolute value of dispersion
Q.D=$\frac{{{Q_3} - {Q_1}}}{2}$
$=\frac { (45,000-18,000) }{ 2 } =13,500$
(ii) Relative value of dispersion
Coefficient of Q.D.=$\frac{{{Q_3} - {Q_1}}}{{{Q_3} + {Q_1}}}$
=$\frac{45000-18000}{45000+18000}$
=$\frac{27,000}{63,000}$
Coefficient of Q.D. = 0.428
