If displacement of a body is S = (200 ±0.5) m and time taken by it is t = (20 ±0.2) s, then find the percentage error in the calculation of velocity.

Here, S = 200 m, ∆S = 10.5 m, t = 20 s, ∆t = 10.2 s
As, Velocity v = S/t
Percentage error in velocity

∆v/v = [∆S/S+∆t/t] x 100%
= [0.5/200 + 0.2/20] x 100% = 1.25%
