Explain the variation of Dissolved Oxygen . (DO) with BOD with the help of graphical representation.
BOD stands for Biochemical Oxygen Demand. It is the amount of oxygen required for degradation of organic matter. With the introduction of organic matter in the water body, the BOD increases and as a result the Dissolved Oxygen (DO) level drops. BOD level is inversely related to DO levels.
