Communication services are classified into personal communication and mass communication.
Personal communication refers to communication between person to person. Letters, e-mails, SMSs, telephone and mobile phone facilities including STD and ISD services are examples of personal communication. Mass communication is the process of transferring or transmitting message to a large group of people. It includes radio, television, newspapers, magazine, books and films. It provides entertainment and creates awareness among people about various national programmes and policies.
