Annapurna Scheme (APS) has been launched in April, 2000. It aims at providing food security to meet the requirements of senior citizens who remained uncovered under other scheme.
It is the scheme for the indigent senior citizen. It provides 10 kg of food grains free of cost per month to senior citizens who are not receiving any pension or have any other source of income.
