Why are forests and wildlife important for human beings?

(i) Human beings along with all living organisms form a complex web of ecological system in which we are only a part and very much dependent on this system for our own existence.
(ii) For example, forests, wildlife and micro-organism purify the quality of air we breathe, the water we drink and the soil that produces food without which human beings cannot survive.
(iii) Forests play a key role ifi the ecological system as they are the primary producers on which all other living organisms depend.
(iv) Forest provide various raw materials and medicinal herbs.
(v) Hence, it is the duty of human beings to preserve these ecosystems.
