  1. The immunisation programmes available are as follows
    • Vaccination against smallpox.
    • BCG vaccination against tuberculosis.
    • DPT vaccination against diphtheria, pertussis and tetanus.
  2. In case of tuberculosis, lungs are affected and hence the symptoms are cough and breathlessness. In case of jaundice, liver is targeted and hence the symptoms are loss of appetite and yellow coloured urine. In case of Japanese encephalitis, brain is targeted. So, the symptoms include headache, vomiting and unconsciousness. Thus, we can say that signs and symptoms of a disease depend on the tissue or organ, which the microbe targets.
