The cooperative societies lays emphasis on the values of mutual help and welfare. If any surplus is generated as a result of its operations, it is distributed amongst the members as dividend in confermity with the bye-laws of the society. Therefore can be said that cooperative societies i.e., aim is to earn some profit for the benefit of its members.
