explain the process of feeding and digestion in Amoeba.
Amoeba eats tiny plants and animals present in pond water. The body of Amoeba has finger-like projections called pseudopodia which ingests the food. When a food particle comes near Amoeba, the pseudopodia surrounds the food particles and trap the food with a little water forming a food vacuole inside its body. The surrounding cytoplasm secretes digestive enzymes into the food vacuole which acts on the food and thus it gets digested.
