Explain the factors that led to women writing novels in Europe

Some factors which led to women writing novels are given below
(i) When the middle class in Europe became rich, women had more time for leisure, so they read and then started writing novels.
(ii) Their novels were based on exploring the world of women-their emotions and identities, their experiences and problems.
(iii) Many novels were based on domestic life a theme on which women were considered to have authority.
(iv) They drew upon their experience and wrote about family life.
(v) Their novels also dealt with women who broke social norms.
(vi) Such stories allowed women readers to sympathise with rebellious action.
