Example of periodic motion
A motion that is regular and repeating is referred to as a periodic motion. Most objects that vibrate do so in a regular and repeated fashion; their vibrations are periodic.

- heart beats
- simple pendulum
- vibration of guitar string
- wings of the bird flying in the sky
- movement of ceiling fan
- moon moving around the earth
- minute, second and hour hand of analog clock
