Enlist some ways in which water pollution can be reduced.

Ways to reduce water pollution are as follows

  1. The sewage and garbage generated by homes and industries should be treated properly before being discharged into water sources.
  2. The hot water generated by the industries should be collected at a common place, allowed to cool and then discharged in waterbodies, as this will not affect the breeding capacity of aquatic organisms.
  3. Commercial areas, factories and industries can be shifted to the isolated area far away from residential areas. This can reduce the water pollution of nearby water resources.
