Differences between ascocarp and basidiocarp are given below

Ascocarp :
It is a fructification found in Ascomycetes.
It is simpler in construction.
Ascooerp contains numerous asci.
Ascus is generally aseptate.
An ascus forms eighth ascocarpes.
These are formed endogenously.

Basidiocap :
It is a fructification found in Basidiomycetes.
It is more elaborate in construction.
Basidiocarp contains several basidia.
Basidium may be septate or aseptate.
A basidium produces four basidiospores.
These are formed exogeneously.
