Write about two important characteristics of the early Hindi novel

Early Hindi novels gave us moral teachings, e.g. Pariksha-Guru by Srinivas Das was published in 1882, v, which cautioned young men of well-to-do"families against the dangerous influence of bad company and consequent loose morals. The novels tried to teach the readers to cultivate healthy habit and .asked them to remain rooted in values of their own traditions and culture.
The writing of Devaki Nandan Khatri created a novel-reading public in Hindi by his book Chandrakanta. It was a romance with dazzling elements of fantasy. Though written purely for the pleasure of reading, this novel gave some interesting insights into the fears and desires of its reading public.
