Why the waves produced by a motorboat sailing in the sea, are longitudinal and transverse?
Longitudinal waves are produced due to vibrations of the rudder inside the sea water but on the surface of water, transverse waves are generated. Hence, waves produced by motorboat are both longitudinal and transverse.
