#1

In $S{{O}{3}}$, three highly electronegative oxygen atoms are
attached to sulphur atom. It makes sulphur atom electron deficient. Further, due to resonance, sulphur acquires positive charge. Both these factors, make $S{{O}
{3}}$ an electrophile.
