(a) Becuse biosphere reserves are large sized, so proper attention could not taken about white Bengal tigers.Thus, they are protected in zoological [parks for attention.This approach is called ex-situ conservation.In this approach, threatened animals and plants in a special setting where they can be protected and given special care.
Tiger reserves in Western ghats are examples of in situ conservation.In this approach, the endangered species of plants and animals are protected in their natural habitat.
Advantage of in-situ conservation: When there are situations where an animal or plant is endangered or threatened and needs urgent measures to save it from extinction, ex-situ conservation is the desirable approach.
(b)Conservation of cryopreservations: It is a method by storage of materials at ultra low temperature for a long period; gametes of threatened species can be preserved in viable and fertile condition for a long period using technique.
