While estimating the age of a tree, what will you observe on the transverse section of its trunk?

The age of a tree is estimated by counting the annual rings in the transverse section of its trunk. The annual ring consists of two kinds of wood, i.e., spring wood (early wood) and autumn wood (late wood). These woods appear as concentric rings.
