When and in which languages were the modern form of novels

When and in which languages were the modern form of novels developed in India? Give examples of any two earliest modern Indian novels.

The modern novel form developed in India in the 19th century as Indians became familiar with the Western novel. Some of the earliest Indian novels were written in Bengali and Marathi.
Bhudeb Mukhopadhyay’s Anguriya Binimoy (1857) was the first historical novel written in Bengal. In this novel Shivaji engaged in many battles against a clever and treacherous Aurangzeb.
The earliest novel in Marathi was Baba Padmanji’s Yamuna Paryatan (1857) which told us about the plight of widows.
