What is the power output in watt of a 60 kg sprinter who accelerates from 0 to 10 m in 3 s?

Given, mass of the sprinter, m = 60 kg Initial velocity, u = 0 Final velocity, v = 10 m, time, t = 3 s
From the equation of motion, v = u +at
10 = 0 + a x 3
Acceleration = 10/3 m
s = ut + 1/2 ${{at}^{2}}$
s = 0 + 1/2 x 10/3 x 3 x 3 = 15 m
Work done = Force x Displacement
= 60 x 10/3 x 15 = 3000J
power = W/t
= 3000/3 = 1000W
