What is the difference between the food habits of organisms belonging to second and fourth trophic levels ? Give one example of organisms belonging to each of these two trophic levels.

Differences between Second Trophic Level and Fourth Trophic Level:
Second Trophic Level:

  1. The organisms of this trophic level are herbivores.
  2. They get more energy as they are close to producers. e.g. : deer, rabbit, grasshopper, etc
    Fourth Trophic Level:
  3. The organisms of this trophic level are carnivores.
  4. They get less energy because they are far away from producers.
    e.g.: snake, peacock, hawk, etc.
