Food security can be defined as the availability, accessibility (including entitlements) and affordability of food to all people at all times.
The dimensions of food security are
(i) Availability It means that enough food is available for all persons.
(ii) Accessibility It means that there is no barrier on access to food including what people are entitled to.
(iii) Affordability It means that all persons have the monetary , capacity to buy food of acceptable quality.
