At number of places the nuclear envelop is interrupted by minute pores, called nuclear pores. A nuclear pore has complex structure. Some pores passes membranous annuli or pocket shaped outgrowths called bleds. A pore along with additional sturcture is called pore complex. Function : Helps in exchange of materials between nucleus and cytoplasm.
