What are cellular slime moulds?

(a) In cellular slime moulds e.g., Dictyostelium, thousands of individual amoeboid cells, named the myxamoebae, aggregrate into slimy mass.
(b) Nuclei of the multicellular plasmodia are haploid.As there is no fusion of individual cells, this aggregrated mass of cells is called the pseudoplasmodium.
