The melting point of ice decreases on increasing the pressure while the melting point of wax increase. Why?

Generally all solids expand on melting. With increase in pressure, expansion becomes difficult. Hence, melting starts at a higher temperature.
Ice contract on melting. With increase in pressure contraction becomes easier. Hence melting starts at a lower temperature.
