Geitonogamy :

  1. Transfer of pollen grains from the anther to stigma of another flower of the same plant.
  2. It does not cause genetic variation.
    Xenogamy :
  3. Transfer of pollen grains from anther to the stigma of a different plant.
  4. This is the only type of pollination path during pollination brings genetically different types of pollen grains to the stigma.
