Mr Bramble wanted to hide the truth about his profession because he did not consider it a dignified one

Mr Bramble wanted to hide the truth about his profession because he did not consider it a dignified one. Do you think it was the right attitude? Justify.

Although parents would want their child to be truthful, they do not mind telling lies themselves to closely guard certain ‘secrets’ they think their child must not know. In doing so, they often end up teaching their child wrong values or depriving him/her of something he/she might have reasons to be proud of.
In short, children must be allowed to grow up as naturally as possible and should be told that there is nothing undignified about their parent’s profession or economic status. Thus, Mr Bramble’s attitude towards his own profession is immature. He should realise that he earned fame, glory, recognition and money as ‘Young Porky’. There was nothing undignified about his profession.
