Is archeology defined as a science discipline?
Yes, and no. Archaeology is the study of artifacts and remains which is performed in a scientific and logical approach. The majority of archaeology relies on the scientific method and uses many aspects of modern technology to date and identify different artifacts. These scientific methods, however, are used to analyze the practices and culture of civilization, which is a branch of the humanities. In all it is a scientific discipline, but it is a discipline that is used to further the field of the humanities.
