Is accelerated growth a sufficient condition to ensure removal of poverty within a reasonable
period?

Although accelerated growth is a necessary condition to ensure removal of poverty, it is not sufficient condition for removal of poverty. It is very important that accelerated growth should be accompanied by levelling up of income i.e., fruits of growth must flow towards the poorer sections of the society i.e., additional income generated should not be cornered by already rich persons.
