This is explained from the examples stated below
(i) In the first decade of the 20th century, ‘Go-East Movement’ became popular and some 300 Vietnamese students went to Japan to acquire modern education. They wanted to overthrow puppet emperor and re-establish the Nguyen dynasty with the help of Japan’s military capability.
(ii) In 1911 under the leadership of Sun-Yat-Sen, China overthrew the long established monarchy in China and set up a republic. Inspired by this incident, Vietnamese students organised the . Association for the Restoration of Vietnam to establish a democratic republic.
