How exactly do I use the equation editor? I see nothing in it for writing exponents yet I was told that is what I should do instead of writing it out. Also when I use the symbols listed in Latex I get something that says error.What am I doing wrong?

For exponents do something like this: $x^{2e + 3
At the bottom of any page, click on “About Contributing”. Then at the top left, click “Videos” to see some tutorials on using the editor. If you don’t know how to type the LaTex code directly, you see buttons at the top of the editor for many functions. Once you click on the exponent button, you replace the a and b in the editor window with your values.
