How did the struggle of the Nepali people become a source of inspiration to democrats all over the world? Explain few values we can learn from it.
Nepal was a absolute monarchy until 1990. With a people’s movement, king Birendra, in 1990 agreed to change Nepal into a constitutional monarchy. But again in 2005 King Gyanendra changed country into absolute monarchy. Due to people’s uprising, king was forced to change his decision and thus Nepal became a constitutional monarchy.
This people’s movement and devoted struggle for democracy in Nepal made the struggle a source for inspiration for democrates all over the world.
