How can the success of democracy be assessed? Explain

Democracy is better than other forms of governments because '
(i) it promotes equality among citizens.
(ii) it enhances the dignity of the individual.
(iii) it improves the quality of decision-making.
(iv) it provides a method to resolve conflicts.
(v) it allows room to correct mistakes.
Democracy definitely is a better form of government when compared with other alternatives.
It is seen to be good in principle, but in practice, it is not to be so good. Here, lies the dilemma of democracy.
