Explain why people might have interpreted the changing roles of women society in the 1920s differently than they would today.

Answer:

The role of women would be viewed differently because they were subjected to a less liberal way of thinking back then. The status quo was woman stayed subservient to their male companions

The patriarchal family system dictated that the women stayed in the sphere of domesticity, while the men were to work as well as “rule” over the household. While these spheres were typical at the time, as the suffrage movement began to pick up speed, today women are more outspoken about their rights as well as america’s views on civil issues has become much more liberal over the years.
