Itinerant traders are those retail traders who move with their merchandise from place to place in search of customers. They have no fixed premises. They keep on changing the line of business and locality of their operation. They invest a very small amount of capital in the business and keep very low stocks. Itinerant traders are pedlars, hawkers, street traders, market traders, etc.
They are particularly suited to deal in seasonal products like fruits, vegetables, etc.
