Explain the principle measures taken in Punjab, Kerala and West Bengal to reduce poverty

Following are the factors that helped Punjab, Kerala and West Bengal in reducing poverty
(i) Punjab It has succeeded in reducing poverty due to high agricultural growth.
(ii) Kerala It has succeeded in reducing poverty by investing on human resource development. Kerala is the highest literate state of the country.
(iii) West Bengal In West Bengal, land reform measures have helped in reducing poverty. Operation Barga is a land reform movement which largely protects the interests of the share croppers (bargadars) and prevented them from the exploitation of landowners.
