Explain the features of services

The features of services are as follows:
(i) Intangibility Services are intangible as they cannot be seen or touched. They are abstract and invisible.
(ii) Perishability Services cannot be stored for future use. e.g. if a bus has 10 vacant seats now, these cannot be utilised in future.
(iii) Inseparability Services are produced and consumed at the same time.
The service cannot be separated from the service provider.
(iv) Variability Services are not standardised and uniform, and differ from one service provider to another, e.g. the type of service, which a waiter provides in a hotel may not always be the same.
