Describe acid rain and state the cause
Acid rain is caused when sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides are released into the air. They mix with water, oxygen, and other chemicals to form more acidic pollutants, known as acid rain.
Acid rain is a form of precipitation that is very acidic. It can have harmful effects on plants, aquatic animals and infrastructure. Acid rain can also kill insect and aquatic life-forms as well as causing damage to buildings and having impacts on human health.
