Disadvantages of GM crops are:
(i) Transgenic genes in genetically modified crops endanger native species.
(ii) They cause damage to the natural environment by reducing biodiversity.
(iii) They may also cause human health problems by altered genes and transferred antibiotic resistance.
Advantage They help in early detection and thus, effective treatment.
