Galilean Telescope :
i) Galilean telescope contains two lenses.
ii) The lens which is towards the object is called as objective lens. It is a convex lens of larger focal length.
iii) The lens which is towards observer’s eye is called as eye piece. It is a diverging (concave) lens of less focal length.
iv) The image of the object is formed at the focal point of the objective lens.
v) This image acts as virtual object for eye piece. The eye piece forms the final erect, magnified
