I went to a fruit seller and use him, “how do you ripening the fruits” He told that Calcium Carbide (Ca{{C}_{2}}) is taken in a cloth and sprinkle some water on that cloth. It release carbide gas (Ethyne C2H2). This Ethyne or acetelene help to artificial ripening of fruits.
