Any fraction can be seen as ratio of portion of a quantity( eg cake) to complete quantity.
5/6 if we divide a cake into 6 parts then if i am getting 5 parts out or 6 thats 5/6
similarly 0.8 is 8 out of 10 parts ( or 4 out of 5)
if we need to compare two fractions, the denominators shoud be equal
so 5/6 = (55)/(65)= 25/30
and 4/5 = (46)/(56)= 24/30
so from above 5/6 is obviously greater than 0.8
