**Can someone explain the use of significant figures**

**Answer:**

what are sig figs. 1. all non zero numbers are significant they are count as sig figs! for example in a number like 12345 there are 5 sig figs but in a number like 12000 there are 2 sig figs. if zero located between non-zero there are sig figs like 4000003 there are 7 sig figs. Zeros are also significant if there is a decimal point at the end like 200000. there are 6 sig figs but if the zreo is in front of the decimal by it self and has zero behind it but has no sig figs for example, 0.000000 has no sig figs but if its like tricky like 0.00000052 or 0.0000205 or 0.1100234000 i know it look hard and complicated but apply the same rules. like 0.00000052 there are 2 sig figs, 0.0000205 there are 3 sig figs, 0.1100234000 there are 7 sig figs.
