According to the Democracy Index of 2012, there is democracy in 167 countries of the world, ’ of them 165 countries are members of the United Nations.
The challenge to democracy in these parts is very stark. These countries face the foundational challenge of making the transition to democracy and then instituting a democratic government. This involves bringing down the existing non-democradc government.
Military should be kept away from the controlling government and a sovereign and functional state should be established.
Thus, it can be concluded that adeast one-fourth of the globe is still not under democradc government.
